Casio has officially opened pre-orders in Japan for its latest premium timepieces, the G-Shock MRG-B2000BG-3A and MRG-B2000RG-3A. Initially the subject of early leaks, these watches now make their debut with confirmed designs and features. The MRG-B2000BG-3A has also appeared on Casio’s UK online store, hinting at an imminent release in that market.
Both models are part of Casio’s elite MR-G series and pay tribute to kurogane-iro, a traditional blue-green hue historically used in samurai armor. The MRG-B2000BG-3A features a brushed titanium bezel paired with a full titanium strap, while the MRG-B2000RG-3A comes with a recrystallized titanium bezel and a durable Durasoft fluoro rubber band. Reflecting these material differences, the BG-3A tips the scale at 150 grams (approximately 5.3 ounces), slightly heavier than the RG-3A’s 138 grams (about 4.9 ounces).
Functionally, the two timepieces are identical. They include Bluetooth connectivity for seamless integration with the Casio Watches smartphone app, Multiband 6 radio control for precise timekeeping, dual time zone support, and standard features such as a 1-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, and daily alarm. Both watches are solar-powered via Casio’s Tough Solar technology and boast 200-meter water resistance, ensuring high performance in demanding conditions.
Japanese customers can pre-order either model now at ¥385,000 (approximately $2,690). While UK pricing and release details for the MRG-B2000BG-3A remain unconfirmed, its listing suggests a launch is on the horizon. There is no official word yet on whether the MRG-B2000RG-3A will also reach the UK market.
