QASIMI RISING is excited to announce a new partnership with Lagos Fashion Week, focused on highlighting and promoting emerging designers and creatives across Africa. This collaboration aims to discover and nurture hidden talents within the continent.
As part of the partnership, QASIMI RISING will take on a key role in identifying promising designers, offering them the opportunity to join the QASIMI RISING Talent Incubator for the 2026 season. Selected designers will showcase their work and participate in exclusive one-on-one workshops with QASIMI RISING mentors and key industry press during Lagos Fashion Week in October 2024.
A cornerstone of this collaboration is the appointment of Omoyemi Akerele, Founder and Executive Director of Lagos Fashion Week, as the regional Ambassador and advisor for QASIMI RISING. Her extensive experience in the fashion industry will provide invaluable insights to the emerging designers, helping them navigate the regional market.
