L’Oréal Middle East has entered a long-term sustainability partnership with UAE-based BinSina Pharmacy, marking a significant step toward eco-conscious retail in the region’s beauty and personal care industry. The alliance, solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding, aligns with the UAE’s broader drive toward a circular economy by embedding sustainable practices throughout the retail value chain.
As part of the agreement, L’Oréal will expand the distribution of its refillable beauty products across BinSina’s retail network. The partnership also aims to cut plastic consumption, targeting an 85% reduction in point-of-sale materials by 2027 through the use of eco-designed alternatives.
In-store sustainability will be further bolstered by improved inventory forecasting to curb waste, while customer engagement initiatives will encourage greener purchasing habits. Beauty advisors will receive specialized training through joint educational programmes to guide shoppers toward more environmentally responsible choices.
Beyond the store, the partnership will support social and environmental impact campaigns, including La Roche-Posay’s “Fight with Care,” which focuses on public health education and community outreach.
This collaboration reflects the increasing prioritization of sustainability across the Gulf’s beauty sector, where both regulatory agendas and consumer preferences are shifting toward low-waste and refillable solutions. By leveraging innovation, training, and community engagement, L’Oréal and BinSina are positioning themselves as leaders in driving circular beauty practices in the Middle East.
