The 44.33-meter Vitters sailing yacht Magic has recently completed sea trials in the North Sea, following her launch in early January. After her official debut on January 3rd, Magic had her 62-meter Southern Spars rig stepped the following week in preparation for these critical trials. Known as Project 3093, construction of Magic began in 2021, with the hull being turned in June 2023 at the Dutch shipyard.
The yacht features naval architecture, deck plans, and exterior design by Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design, with interior styling by Design Unlimited, in collaboration with Pieter Laureys. Throughout her build, the owner was represented by Ezio Dal Maso of Stephenson Harwood.
The design brief for Magic was to create a “sleek and relaxed interior, with an effortless grace,” a concept reflected throughout the yacht’s spaces. The interiors incorporate a warm, harmonious color palette, blending various textures to create a seamless connection between finishes.
A key design element is the continuous flow between indoor and outdoor areas. On the main deck, the saloon offers 360-degree views, enhancing the yacht’s connection to the surrounding sea. The interior prioritizes open space and natural light, contributing to a feeling of expansiveness.
Accommodations include the owner’s stateroom at the stern, complete with an ensuite bathroom, his-and-hers walk-in wardrobes, and a private office. Forward of the engine room, there is a double stateroom to port and a children’s bunked stateroom to starboard. Aft, accessed via a grand staircase from the main deck, are two convertible ensuite staterooms.
Magic’s exterior features modern lines and expansive deck space, including a large covered cockpit that offers protection from the elements. The yacht also boasts innovative technology, including two submarine anchor systems, a peak-shaving battery system for efficient power management, and a transom that converts into a beach club with direct access to the water.
For performance, Magic is a single-screw diesel yacht with a cruising speed of nine knots, a top speed of 12 knots, and a range of 3,000 nautical miles. Powered by Vitters’ in-house hydraulic units, Magic includes advanced deck systems such as hydraulic winches and furlers.
Currently listed for sale with Burgess, Magic will undergo additional sea trials in the coming weeks, with final delivery scheduled for February 2025. Following delivery, she will head to the Mediterranean for her maiden voyage.
